What do yoga teachers do?

This blog by Maria Christina really caught my heart. In a time when we hear about the physical “dangers” of yoga, when yet another modern yoga “luminary” has been accused of unhealthy actions, when the mat practice of yoga itself is becoming more physical than spiritual, we may forget that most teachers came to this profession out of an intense love for the practice. This is not a profession of wealth, nor a calling of fame – but a deep abiding love for leading others into a space where they can find and love themselves. Please read on for an ode to yoga teachers everywhere.
